SCOPEHARBOR LEGAL

Terms of Service

Effective October 16, 2026

These Terms of Service govern your use of ScopeHarbor, including our website, customer workspace, quote-review tools, project-planning features, and paid services. By creating an account or purchasing a service, you agree to these Terms.

1. What ScopeHarbor provides

ScopeHarbor is a homeowner planning and organization service. Our tools can help you review renovation quotes, compare scope details, organize project information, budgets, tasks, and documents, and generate AI-assisted explanations or questions to consider.

ScopeHarbor is not a contractor marketplace and does not hire, supervise, recommend, certify, insure, or guarantee contractors. We do not verify that a quote, contractor, design, price, permit requirement, building condition, or proposed method is complete, safe, lawful, or suitable for your project.

2. Planning support, not professional advice

ScopeHarbor provides general planning and informational support only. It is not construction, legal, engineering, architectural, inspection, safety, financial, tax, insurance, or other regulated professional advice. AI-generated results may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information.

You remain responsible for reviewing original documents, asking your contractor questions, obtaining permits and professional advice where appropriate, and making all project and purchasing decisions.

3. Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract to create an account or purchase a paid service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activity performed through your account.

Provide accurate account information and promptly update information that changes. Contact us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

4. Documents and content you provide

You retain ownership of the documents, text, images, notes, and other material you submit. You give ScopeHarbor permission to store, scan, extract, process, and transmit that material only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the service and to meet legal obligations.

You must have the right to upload the material you provide. Do not upload malicious files, unlawfully obtained material, or personal information that is not reasonably necessary for your project.

5. AI-assisted processing

Some ScopeHarbor features use third-party artificial-intelligence services. AI output is generated from the information supplied to the service and may be incomplete or incorrect. A report is not a substitute for the original quote or for professional review.

Where the product displays source-linked findings, those links are intended to help you verify the report against the confirmed source text. You should review important conclusions yourself before acting on them.

6. Paid services and subscriptions

Prices, billing frequency, included usage, taxes, and any recurring terms are shown before checkout. One-time services are charged once. Subscription services renew automatically at the stated billing interval until cancelled.

Payment processing is provided through third-party commerce and payment providers. ScopeHarbor does not store your complete payment-card number. Your purchase may also be subject to the payment provider’s terms.

Usage credits, project limits, document limits, or similar plan allowances are described at checkout or in the customer workspace. Unless specifically stated otherwise, unused monthly allowances do not roll over.

7. Cancellations and refunds

You can cancel a recurring subscription to stop future renewals. Refund eligibility is governed by our Refunds & Cancellations Policy and applicable law.

8. Availability and changes

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary for security, maintenance, legal compliance, provider changes, or product development. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

9. Acceptable use

You may not attempt to bypass access controls, probe other customers’ data, interfere with the service, upload malware, automate abusive requests, resell the service without permission, or use ScopeHarbor for unlawful activity.

10. Intellectual property

ScopeHarbor’s software, branding, interface, documentation, templates, and original content are owned by ScopeHarbor or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of ScopeHarbor technology to you.

11. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ScopeHarbor is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant that AI output, contractor information, project estimates, or other content will be complete, accurate, current, or suitable for a particular purpose.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ScopeHarbor will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for losses arising from contractor performance, project delays, property damage, safety issues, decisions made from AI output, or information omitted from documents you provide.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limits rights that applicable consumer-protection law gives you.

13. Suspension and termination

We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect customers or the service, investigate abuse or fraud, comply with law, or address non-payment. You may stop using ScopeHarbor at any time.

14. Privacy

Our Privacy & Subprocessors Notice explains how we handle personal information and project documents.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be identified by a new effective date and, where appropriate, communicated through the service or by email.
